The other close realities can be perceived too

  Impact of close realities

As it has been explained, even if infinite possible realities coexist in the continuum, there is one and only one which is perceived as real for a given individual: the one that he or she chooses to see with their decisions, attitudes and thoughts. That's to say that all the other realities are virtually invisible for him or her. This limitation is precisely what gives us the illusion of living in a one-reality-only world.

However, all those realities which you are not perceiving at a given time still may have influence over your life, especially those which are close in the continuum.

Even in you didn't choose to see them, those realities do exist and they affect you.

In my view, the R-dimension of realities in the STR is a continuous evolution of minimal imperceptible variations that in the long run lead to extremely different outcomes. Let's say, for example, that there has been a single vehicle fatal accident at one point of the STR. If the perception of the person involved was at that point, he died. Probably in all the nearby points of the R coordinates, he died as well. The accident was just a little different: the car turned around some degrees more or less, the wounds took place in other areas of his body, still fatal. But as you go farther away on the R axis, you will reach a point in which the accident isn't fatal anymore. He is just wounded with different degrees of gravity. If you go far enough, the car will be just a millimeter away from collision but the crash will be avoided. Still, our protagonist will be panicked and probably psychologically traumatized for the almost-crash. Go even farther and there will be no signs of danger or concern about an eventual accident.

You may think that if this guy's perception for that moment was in a point of the continuum in which the accident didn't take place, he wouldn't notice at all what could have happened to him. But what I maintain is that, contrarily to this assumption, he would indeed feel the impact of the parallel event in a way or another. Especially if we are talking about a level of reality which is relatively close to the one he is in. He might, for example feel a sudden headache, an unexplained back pain, or an emotional feeling of discomfort, resulting from the closeness in R of the accident he just avoided without noticing. The echoes of a significant event like this one can transcend many levels and impact a big range of realities around it.

In fact, anything "unexplained" could probably be traced back to a parallel reality. Have you ever felt a sudden attraction to someone you just knew? A strong feeling of knowing that person from somewhere else, that's not from this life? These feelings may arise if you are very close to this person (even in love with them) in another area of the reality continuum. You meet them in the point of reality where your consciousness is, but you can still feel the energy of the relationship you have in all those realities close enough to the one you are in. This can cause a cognitive dissonance between how you should logically feel towards someone and what you actually feel. The explanation for your feelings is not in this reality, but in a parallel one. The same can happen the other way, when you irrationally dislike someone without there being any apparent reason for it. Probably the reason is something that happened in another point of the continuum, one which you didn't choose to perceive but still has an impact on your life.

Similarly, the cause of unexplained fears, traumas, and phobias can probably be found in alternate realities too. Being able to understand them could be key to resolve them. In fact if our guy in the accident example could see - say under hypnosis - the parallel reality in which the accident took place, he would be able to understand the cause of his back pain and his feelings of unease, and those symptoms would disappear as soon as he comprehends their origin. My experience indicates that you can indeed perceive realities other than the one you are actually in, even without hypnosis.

It's a valuable skill that I've started to develop myself and I find really useful. The perception of close realities of the STR comes as a vision. It is something similar to imagination but there are certain clues to differentiate an actual vision from a simple fantasy:

Fantasies usually come from desires or from fears while actual visions of alternate realities are not especially positive or negative for the person experiencing it. They are just realistic.

When fantasizing you use your active imagination while when discovering parallel worlds the images come to you involuntarily, direct from your unconscious mind.

Unlike in fantasies where you are the protagonist and things are colored to fit your expectations, everything makes sense in your visions. It is all perfectly logical and reasonable. It feels real.

When you are not trained to have this kind of visions, they can be modified at first by your own mental projections. You can be having a vision but it is being modified by your own imagination. Perception of other realities is per se imperfect, and when the reality you want to perceive is farther in R, even more difficult it becomes to accurately see it. Furthermore, when you can't see the full picture your mind fills in the blanks. The elements your mind uses to fill in these blanks may come from your desires, your fears or your plain imagination. It is important to be aware of mental projections as they happen and try to eliminate them to be as close as possible to the reality that you are trying to perceive. Meditation and self-hypnosis, as well as practice with lucid dreams, can be very helpful to develop this skill.

But why is the ability to perceive parallel realities so important?

As I just said, it can be useful to explain feelings and symptoms of uncertain origin, but besides that, this ability can help us to:

Know better the people in your life: by seeing how they would react in different circumstances.

Avoid future negative realities: by being able to preview them and therefore choose a different path.

Preview the future you want: so you can choose to perceive it when the time comes.

Choose what battles to fight, by knowing which realities are actually in the continuum (and thus can be achieved) and which aren't (and wouldn't make any sense to pursue).

See the full picture: So you don’t work for the perception of a reality ignoring some important aspects of that path that would probably change your choice if you knew the whole truth.

And

Apply effectively the Law of Attraction. As we will see in the next point.
